Starring in the seventh season of Vauxhall Fashion Scout's Ones To Watch show, Ada Zanditon was handpicked by the judging panel - including Susie Bubble, Andrew Ibi and ASOS's Caren Downie - sending a strong signal that Zanditon is one of the new hot designers to emerge on the circuit. 

Ada Zanditon's widely acclaimed Graduate Collection was always going to be hard to beat, but VFS knew better. Claimed as one of the most anticipated shows, Zanditon pulled it off again, with screams from the front rows and "how does she do that?" echoing across the audience. This hot designer has definitely grown up, and has produced her Spring/Summer 2010 collection with the same technical wizardry, architectural look and drama, yet it is softer and more wearable than ever before.

Another crucial difference is this upcoming collection's inspiration. Softly spoken, Ada shared "It has been inspired by the Colony Collapse Disorder as a world without bees is unthinkable. A third of our food crops are pollinated by bees." As such, geometric patterns and hexagonal patches mirror the architectural brilliance of bees. As bold as ever though, the collection features brilliant red, royal blue and dove grey, yet still boasted Zanditon's 3-D signature look.

As the catwalk photos attest, the runway celebrates the co-operative behaviour of bees and their architectural skill, with strong hexagonal prints shaped into highly wearable pieces as well as soft hexagonal patches forming ruched pleated dresses and 3-D skirts around bare skin cut-aways. 

A softer dimension was also evidenced, with Ada telling us "It has softer lines but retains a structural softness. Finding new ways to construct the pieces with organza and traditional origami folding techniques allows for an understated elegance that is much more wearable than previous collections."
