Founder's Philosophy
Having played a major part in launching many successful national footwear brands for the last ten years, I have learned first-hand how to create stylish, quality vegan footwear that is both animal friendly and more environmentally friendly.
I founded NEUAURA because I am a vegetarian who also believes in a fashion-forward lifestyle. Over the years I have come across many women like me, who were looking for fashionable, high-quality, and affordable animal-friendly footwear.
NEUAURA was launched out of my concern for the welfare of the animals and the environment, as well as my love for fashion. In the last few years, I have become extremely inspired by the innovation and quality of non-leather materials. Through my extensive experience in the footwear industry, I have learned how to creatively utilize these materials. This has resulted in a high quality, fashion-forward line that is also animal-friendly!
The NEUAURA brand stands for quality vegan shoes, fresh designs and innovation for today’s uncompromising consumer.
Eco-Conscious Initiatives
NEUAURA Footwear is conscious of both the protection of animals as well as the environment therefore we have aligned ourselves with a factory that shares the same core values.
The manufacturing factory situated in the Mountains of Brazil was awarded a “Green Seal” from Brazilian Technological Institute for Leather, Shoes and Accessories. This seal is awarded to manufacturers based on their compliance of Brazil’s environmental laws. The factory is also a member of an association called "Um Amanha Maiz Feliz" (A Happier Tomorrow), which was created for the purpose of maintaining environmental cleanliness in all their manufacturing processes and respecting the environment, which their community values most. The Green Seal is stamped on all NEUAURA shoeboxes.
We also ensure that all the materials are sourced local to the factory so we save on transportation and fuel. As part of our brand promise, we will always do our best to adopt any new technology or method to improve in this area.
Our Collections
For Autumn/Winter 2009, we are offering exclusive vegan footwear styles that consumers can only find on our web site.
The Kettle style has a heart pattern embroidery on the upper, which adds an element of happiness to the style. Winter doesn’t really kick in until December or January, so a style like Arinos will do well, and it’s perfect for Fall.
The Marmoset style has sold so well for us that we will carry the style into Autumn. I have a wide foot with low arches, and this style is incredibly comfortable. The factory has such fantastic last makers that we were able to execute this style so that the foot rests properly from toe to heel, and the mesh lining adds durability and flexibility to the style. We will carry the same colors, black and wine, into Autumn/Winter 2009. This style and colors truly fall into the timeless yet contemporary category.
